Lyndon & Marlene Wall — Founders of Refresh Ministries
Lyndon and Marlene have been married since 1987.
They have served in the pastorate at Grace Bible Fellowship Church (Evangelical Free Church) for 14 years and have also served as Pastors to Missionaries in Jos, Nigeria, from 2007-2008.
Lyndon earned his Bachelor of Religious Education degree from Peace River Bible Institute, a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Prairie Graduate School at Three Hills, Alberta, and then his Doctor of Ministry Degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Deerfield, Illinois.
Lyndon is the CEO of Refresh Ministries.
Wanda Screpnek — Office Administrator
Wanda joined Refresh Ministries in the winter of 2021. She is married to Dan Screpnek, and they have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren.
Wanda and Dan had been missionaries for the past 25 years and served with SIM in Nigeria.
On returning to Canada, Wanda and Dan served as SIM Regional Directors in the Prairie Provinces and then moved to the Toronto head office to cover Canada for a year.
They felt God moving them to a new ministry with One Hope Canada. They traveled across Canada with the Encounter Program and settled in Saskatchewan to work at Manitou Lake Bible Camp for 6 years.
They recently moved to Sexsmith, Alberta, where Dan is now the Alberta Field Director for One Hope Canada. Wanda works alongside Dan with member care and is part-time with Refresh Ministries.
Alina Bulmer — Partnership Development Director
Alina joined the Refresh Team as a staff member in March of 2023 and has been encouraged and blessed by the work God is doing in and through this ministry. Alina also works for BILD Grande Prairie as the Executive Officer and has been on the Board of the Home Builders Association for the past 4 years. Alina has a passion for organizing events and connecting people by bringing them together. She and her husband live in Grande Prairie, AB.
Ben Senft — NexGen Program
Ben joined the Refresh Ministries team in November, 2023. He received his Bachelors of Biblical Studies from Peace River Bible Institute, where he met his wife, Heidi. After getting married in 2018 and working in the Grande Prairie area for four years (Ben as a carpenter and Heidi as a bookkeeper), Ben felt a pull to pursue further education to become better equipped for ministry. In 2021, the couple decided to move to Caronport, Saskatchewan, where Ben would pursue his Masters of Divinity degree from Briercrest seminary. After two years, they returned to the Sexsmith area, where they bought a house and began to seek the Lord’s direction for their next steps.
Ben is incredibly excited and thankful for the opportunity to serve with Refresh ministries as he continues his education!

Stan Burkholder — Chair
Stan Burkholder hails from Bluesky, AB and currently serves as the chair of the Refresh board. He was invited to join the board in 2021 as a Christian businessman and national industry trainer with 40 years of experience in the retail building materials industry. Additionally, he is an affirmed speaker and lay leader at Bluesky Christian Fellowship. Throughout his marriage, Stan and his wife Chris have been committed to supporting those in ministry in various ways. Stan has been an active member of various boards at the local, provincial, and national levels for his entire adult life. He particularly enjoys the collaborative brainstorming and discussion process that leads to a consensus decision-making approach.
Dave Squires — Vice Chair
Dave is a pastor from Eaglesham, Alberta, and he has been serving at Eaglesham Community Church for 28 years. Along with his wife, Barb, Dave has been associated with Refresh for over a decade. He has served as a board member, and he and Barb have also been part of the general board. It has been a privilege and a source of joy for them to support and serve Refresh, a ministry that has had a tremendous impact on the lives of pastors, missionaries, and churches of the Peace Country and beyond.
Marcy Balderston — Treasurer
Marcy is a retired office manager who has been actively involved with Refresh Ministries for several years. She and her husband, Kurt, own and operate a farm in the Sexsmith area. They have three children and two grandchildren. Marcy is passionate about sports and excels at curling and equestrian showjumping.
Kathy Larabee — Board Secretary
Kathy Joins us from Calgary, AB, and has been an integral part of Refresh Ministries since 2016. She previously worked as an Office Administrator alongside Lyndon for 5 years, while living in Grande Prairie. Due to her passion for the organization's cause, Kathy naturally decided to become a part of the Board of Directors in order to continue supporting Refresh Ministries.
Being involved in the healing and ministry process holds a special place in Kathy's heart. By being a part of this organization, she has been able to provide support to others in their journeys. She considers herself fortunate to have formed a friendship with Lyndon and Marlene, and to be a part of this global ministry of Soul-Care.
Warren Charlton — Director
Warren has been involved in pastoral ministry for over 40 years. He served on the Refresh Board from its inception in 2008 until 2014, and then rejoined the Board in 2021. Currently, Warren resides in Saskatoon with his wife Ellen, where they are both active members of the Calvary AGC congregation.
Keith Dillabough — Director
Keith and his wife Stephanie have served with FamilyLIfe Canada since 2018 and have a heart for couples and families. Keith graduated with a BA and MDiv from Briercrest Bible College and Seminary and has pastored churches for almost 20 years. Keith believes Refresh Ministry has the best interest of the Church at heart by serving and caring for Pastors and Lay Leaders. Keith and Stephanie have two grown children and two grandchildren.
